Mahtar(Svk) - Altar of golden sun

While looking for some Lethal Diabolic´s stuff of Dankus ,i found that Dankus made with some slovak called Kulo one pagan black metal band Svantevit .Unfortunately they have no album yet ,only single .Review of the Svantevit project will be there after releasing of some demo or album.
Otherwise i checked up Kulo ´s project of Mahtar and i decided to introduce it to all of you.

I ´ve read on myspace in Mahtar´s blog (biography) that it is monopersonal(one-man) band.
This is project from Slovakia and started sometimes on 2008 .

I just downloaded album or demo of Mahtar - Altar of golden sun.
Cover of that album was really nice with nice font , finally some band that doesn´t use old english font like Bathory,Burzum and milions of black metal project from all over the world.
Back to the review .

When i saw that there´s a Burzum cover of Dunkelheit i started it first.
There´s bad sound quallity unfortunately,but atmosphere is really great,vocals are really hilarious,i think it is best cover of that song i´ve ever heard and i´ve heard all the Burzum´s tribute albums .
But whole album has really one bad mistake and it is different quallity and volume of the songs,and that quallity is really poor , but i found it is whole recorded at home with really cheap microphone, so i can forgive that quallity.
Other songs are normal,nothing new in black metal.Ambient parts are nice and good made , I really liked 5th song called The longest fall and the song Pagans will come is really nice too ,but vocals in some parts of that song really sucks.
As i found on the internet that project is really influenced by slavic paganism, of course because Mahtar is from Slovakia and it was o homeland of ancient west slavs.

If you are looking for some ambient black metal with really slavic pagan influence you should get this demo.

now i get 65% ,because of quallity and really short lenght .only 21 minutes of music in this album...:(

Hate Forest(ukr) - Purity

That band from Ukraine,is a legend of raw black metal.
Roman Saenko is black metal master .
I´d like to introduce album Purity.
It starts with ambient sound, than after few second really raw guitars and fast raw drums comes.
Really brutal scream makes that album really heavy and rough.

I´m surprised that hate Forest used some ambient syntz. in the end of songs.That sounds really dark and some kind of ambient raw black metal.
Sometimes you can be sik of the vocals, but lovers of Hate forest won´t be disappointed at all.
This album is really nice raw black metal stuff.

Rivendell(Aut) - The Ancient Glory

There ´s another great band which is really epic and full of folk stuff.
The album of that Austrian epic/folk metal band called The Ancient Glory is totally based or influenced on the Tolkien´s Lord of the Rings -
Name of the band,titles of the songs ,almost everything influenced by Lord of the rings.

Whole CD interested me with really great and specific vocal .Clean vocals are really brutally great.
Guitar riffs and melodies in this album are excellent .Folk parts makes that album more and more epic and while listening you think like you´re a part of Lord of the rings country of master Tolkien.
I must tell that the last song on the album called Aragorn son of Arathorn is something beatuful and really excellent, better ending of the album you couldn´t imagine.
Great melody and vocals in this song are filled with flute in backround, i can tell that song is one of the greatest i´ve ever heard.

Impression from this album in me is really strong ,i´m giving - 99%

Blut aus Nord – Memoria Vetusta II: Dialogue With the Stars

This is one hour of really hard but great listening.
Blut aus nord is really difficult band to listen to.Songs are really great but you must listen to them really carefuly .
I think this is the greatest album of Blut Aus Nord ,better than MoRt a lot .
Nice melodies,riffs,guitars are typical of Blut Aus Nord ,atmosphere is really cold and great.
Total impression: 85%

Lethal Diabolic(CZE) - Luna Nocturnalis(2008)

Surfing on the internet ,i found this one-man project called Lethal Diabolic .
It took my a lot of time to get some stuff or informations ,because the Lethal Diabolic isn´t on the Metal Archives yet .

Anyways , the next review will be about demo of Lethal Diabolic - Luna Nocturnalis ( 2008 )
This demo ,or project is really depressive with nice ambient elements , interesting vocals and really good sound and quality.

Whole demo is pretty dark ,full of depressed screams .I wouldn´t take it to my mp3 to the forest in the night :)
What i found about Lethal Diabolic project , it is monopersonal (one-man) band , only member is Dankus , recording everything at home without any label and record studio .
If you imagine what work it takes to make some demo at home alone,it is really masterpiece for me.

Starting of demo is really great that will excite you from the veery first seconds . Great atmosphere and some kind of "raven" vocals or screams .changing melodies from slow to really nice guitars .
Next song Odium ,is 100% song, a masterpiece . There we can see that Dankus is really talented musucian .Whole demo seems to be recorded in profi studio with the greatest apparature , i can´t believe it is recorded at home.

If you are looking for some great new black metal music ,you should check this project .
